006 ME 262: Northwest Europe 1944-45

by Forsyth, Robert
1-939006
Examines technical aspects of flying the ME-262 jet fighter, using first-hand accounts from German pilots as well as what it was like to fly against the jets with first-hand accounts from US pilots. Follow the exploits of veteran Jagdwaffe aces such as Adolf Galland, Walter Krupinski and Johannes Steinhoff with action-packed ribbon diagrams, battlescenes, armament views and maps. Towards the end of the war, availability of machines and trained pilots was scarce, limiting the impact of the fighter on Allied air operations.
